Portobello Gratin 08-Sep-2012
This is the classic canapé — the perfect hors d’ouvre.
Ingredients
- 6 portobella mushrooms
- 1¼ shredded Müat;nster cheese
- ⅔ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 grated garlic clove
- salt and pepper
Directions

Slice the portobellas in half sideways, making 12 thin rounds.

Toss together the cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper.

Layer the portobella rounds and cheese mixture in a baking dish, making 3 layers of each, ending with the cheese mixture on top.

Drizzle with 3 tablespoons of water, cover in foil, and bake at 400°F; for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake 8 minutes longer.
